USPTO Glossary Pilot now ready for participation

News from the USPTO: A Glossary Pilot, running until December 2, 2014,  allows an applicant to define terms used in a patent application in exchange for being placed in “special” status until the first office action.

The USPTO Software Rountable discussed this pilot at length during their meeting in October 2013, getting input from various stakeholders.  For history of the program, see http://www.uspto.gov/patents/init_events/executive_actions.jsp.
